The Warm Meals Project,
and Why It Worked.
Soul Deeds runs on real service. Here is the proof.
Our first project, Make and Serve Warm Meals, ran across seven or eight virtual sessions. Real ice breakers, honest conversations about marriage, and the actual work of planning it. Members raised around $300, then gathered in person to cook and serve at Dar ul Hadith mosque on September 19.
Across those sessions the group traded ice breakers, talked honestly about what each of them wants in marriage, and worked the plan out piece by piece. By the final call, a handful of strangers had turned into a team.
